The Agnipath Scheme, launched by the Government of India on June 15, 2022, is a recruitment initiative for both male and female candidates to join the Indian Armed Forces in below-officer ranks for a period of four years as Agniveers. This includes opportunities in Agniveer Army, Agniveer Navy, and Agniveer Vayu.
The X Group category is open for both boys and girls who have completed 12th standard in the science stream with Mathematics, Physics, and English, or those who have completed a 3-year diploma in engineering, or a 2-year VHSE course with Physics and Mathematics, provided they have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English. The age limit for applicants is 17.5 to 21 years with no age relaxation. The selection process includes subjects such as English, Physics, and Mathematics.
