Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Candidates must be citizens of India. Subjects of Nepal and Bhutan are also eligible as per Government norms.

 

Gender

Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for various posts as per recruitment rules.

 

Educational Qualification

  • Constable Posts: 12th Pass from a recognized board
  • Head Constable / ASI Posts: 12th Pass or equivalent qualification
  • Sub Inspector (SI): Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university
  • Technical Posts: Additional technical qualifications may be required.

Age Limit

  • Constable Posts: 18 to 25 Years
  • Head Constable / ASI Posts: 18 to 25 Years
  • Sub Inspector Posts: 20 to 25 Years

Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST Candidates: 5 Years
  • OBC Candidates: 3 Years
  • Ex-Servicemen and other reserved categories: As per Government norms.

Physical Standards

Male Candidates

  • Height: 170 cm
  • Chest: 81 cm to 85 cm (with expansion)
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age

Female Candidates

  • Height: 157 cm
  • Chest: Not Applicable
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age

Note: Relaxation in physical standards is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories, hill areas, and other eligible groups as per Government regulations.

Selection Process

The Delhi Police recruitment process generally includes:

  • Computer-Based Examination
  • Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT)
  • Skill Test / Trade Test (for specific posts)
  • Medical Examination
  • Document Verification
